A Bit of Summer

I know that the snow is on the ground and that it is just the beginning of winter but I already am longing for spring.  I miss my garden terribly and can’t wait to dig in the dirt again and be out tending both my veggies and flowers.  This lovely flower is from my hibiscus plant that stays outside during the summer but is not hardy enough for the cold winters.  My mom gave it to me this past summer, and I brought it inside for the cold months and have been tending it.  It is like having a little piece of my garden indoors and it rewarded me this past week with a beautiful bloom.  It brings me great joy to watch things grow, and I can’t wait to get back at it in the spring!

How about you?  Do you have any indoor gardens or plants that you tending?
