Although I have pockets in my purse, I always seem to be digging around for my sunglasses or lip balm or something else, and it takes me forever to locate what I need. Whatever I am looking for is always swallowed in the depths of my purse. I found this super cute gathered clutch at Noodlehead, a great sewing blog. She provides this great tutorial, and I had some fabric hanging around waiting to be made into something neat so I made myself a little pouch/clutch to cut down on the amount of digging around when I need something from my purse. It was a simple, straight forward project that I was able to complete in about an hour.
The results are fabulous! It is a perfect combination of funtionality and cuteness, and my sunglasses fit perfectly in there. They will now be safe from scratches, and I will able to locate them in a jiffy.

I love this fabric too and the great thing is that because it doesn’t take much fabric to make this little pouch, I still have a bunch left for another project. Hmmm…what to make next…

I recently made a similar pouch for “essentials” for little kids because I was always loosing mine in my purse or finding myself unprepared when I did need them. I never thought to put sunglasses in one though! Your pouch is super cute too. I love the fabric.
