Simple Shoes

My birthday was in October and I recieved some birthday money to spend (Thanks, Mom!). While shopping I happened upon these shoes and they called my name.  Let me just say I don’t find shoes easily.  High arches and long narrow feet make it difficult because unless I wear shoes with proper support, I end up with feet that hurt like crazy.  After a year of painful foot issues, I finally rid my closet of all shoes except for my Asic athletic shoes and a pair of Mary Jane Skechers.  Where some women have a closet full of shoes, I am down to two that don’t make my feet hurt.  When I received my birthday money, I decided an pair of nice casual shoes would be perfect.

When I saw them at first I thought, “These are cool shoes but I am not sure if I can pull them off.”  I walked past them twice but they were still calling me so I pulled out my size.  Man, they were cool.  Grey with sweet green laces.  The thing that really made me happy was that they actually fit and were comfortable on my picky feet.  Also on sale, these shoes were looking better and better.

Then I looked at the box.  I saw the words Eco Certified Leather, Un-Bleached Hemp, Organic Cotton, and Recycled Car Tires. SOLD! Seriously, these shoes were made with me in mind.

Comfy, good arch support, and made of awesome Eco friendly materials.  This is my first “green” purchase that I can wear and I am thrilled silly about it.

Do you have any “Go Green” apparel or shoes?

Soooo cute! I love them! You need to bring ‘em when you visit so I can see them in person. :)
